I recently discovered a morning routine idea from the life coach, Hal Elrod. He calls it his “Miracle Morning”. The basic premise is that you are most productive first thing in the morning and if you use that time efficiently, you can set up the rest of your day for success. He took a bunch of suggestions from other successful people and created a new routine out of it.
The routine entails, silent meditation time, words of affirmation, visualisation time, exercise time, reading, and journaling. He calls it his “S.A.V.E.R.S” which stands for Silence, Affirmations, Visualisation, Exercise, Reading, Scribing (writing time).
I watched the following hour long video to get a good idea as to how he came about his process and it really spoke to me. He says that you have to do it every day for thirty days to have the habit take hold. I have been working on the just getting up with an extra hour. I found that one hour wasn’t enough time, so I am getting up two hours early. This give me time to meditation, practice yoga, ready, journal, and then get on with the rest of my day. I am not sure that I am an affirmation and visualisation kind of person but I will try anything once.
If you have an hour or so to burn, I recommend watching this video to get an idea as to what the miracle morning is all about. It inspired me to want to wake up and get more done in a day!
