I first saw the book “Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear” by Elizabeth Gilbert, in this YouTube video:
I instantly downloaded it onto my Kobo eReader app. It took me a few weeks to get through it in my spare bits of time. It was an easy to digest read and had a conversational tone to it.
Gilbert lays it all out for your. She give your insight to fear, self doubt, and rejection. She also gives you inspiration that let’s you see that creativity need not be forced or enslaved. The creativity should be freeing and you can be free to create. It doesn’t matter if your are a writer, an artist, or a potter – she just wants to listen to your creativity (and your fear) and hear what they have to say.
I will be honest, I won’t ever write a review for a book I don’t like and don’t recommend. So, if you see a book review on my list, it’s because I think that the book is worth a read. That’s exactly what I am doing here. If you are a creative person or want to be more creative, I totally recommend that you read this book.
