Yin and Restore

I had my second yoga studio class this past week. I felt a little less nervous this time. The room was smaller and there was the same amount of people in it as last time. I was able to relax more into the restorative part of the class. I did a lot less movement in this one than I did in the last one and it seemed to work a lot better.

Teaching yin and restorative style classes are much different from when I teach one on one with private students. I like the slower pace of the yin and restore classes, they give me time to collect my thoughts between poses since the students are holding them for a lot longer.

I have been thinking of recording some of my yin and restore sequences online so that others can follow along in their own time. If this is something you would be interested in, please comment and let me know!
